Yes and Brembo blanks, Rotora, and IRotors are the favorite amongst members. As for pads there are also many to choose from. A quick search will reveal many choices

Will ordernary brake place agree to resurface slotted rotors? Or do I have to look for a special place that will do that. I heard that many places wil refuse to resurface slotted rotors, so you have to find places that are willing to do so. Is this true?
I will ask my mechanic if he resurfaces slotted rotors....

just get the Brembo blanks - you will get no more (most likely a little less) stopping power with slotted rotors. I replaced mine with the Brembo blanks about 9k miles ago and they are still very smooth. I used stock pads up front and the Satisfied pro pads out back. and very few places will resurface slotted rotors

I also have Brembo blanks and Akebono pads... I have had this set up for 1.5 years/10K miles.... but I think its beging to warp... maybe its due to bad torque on my lug nuts.... the rotors are too small in diameter... its a design flaw... and all of them warp...

all rotors warp, i have re-surfaced cross drilled rotors @ the shop i used to work @, using an off-car lathe. never really tried w/ an on-car lathe. seems as if it wouldnt work too great though, being that on car lathes are very snesitive and prone to chatter/excessive vibration, scaring the rotor, causing imperfections and having to go over the rotor again and again.

my rotors recently warped out too...i didn't want to go to the dealer bc it would be more expensive, and i didnt want to get the oem rotors this time around...just replaced them a few days ago with Brembo blank rotors and Satisfied Pro Ceramic pads...i saved some money and the quality is good, quiet and good stopping power too, just like oem if not a lil better. got all my stuff from tirerack by the way...hope this helps man.

Also, why not buy from Excelerate, an official vendor here?

His prices are no better than what you find online and from the online vendors you will get free shipping and it equals out to 50-100 less money in total.

(thats for 4 rotora slotted + 4 Green stuff pads....at least that is what I figured up a few months back anyway. For me to go with a vendor here after being screwed in a private trade in the black market it will have to be less for what I can find online....hell I will be going with the cheapest no matter where I find it )

1.5 year ago I got myself brembo blanks and Akebono ceramic pads. everything was awsome for a year, now at high speeds when I apply brake my steering wheel shakes... meaning the rotors are getting warped. I maybe only put 10,000 miles on them.... city driving mostly, but still 10K miles?
Now I know its not about Honda rotors.... the design (rotor size) is wrong... I might try slotted rotors next....
but as far as cheaper alternative, I'd definatly would go with Brembo again and akebono pads... at least brembos are a lot cheaper than honda rotors.... but as far as quality, its about the same.... maybe brembo a bit better... but don't expect big
improvment.

bottom line don't expect brembo rotors laster longer than Honda rotors. Its about the same.... just brembos are 2 times cheaper.
so if its Honda vs. Brembo, I'll take brembo.

I installed brembo blank rotors 15k miles ago and they are vibrating. Very annoying. What I think is happening is that either the installer did not check for lateral runout or there is something wrong with the calipers. I just can't believe rotors should warp after 15k miles. And I don't even brake that much unless I absoulutely have to.

What does getting screwed in a black market deal have to do with buying from Excellerate?

Actually there are a few misconceptions in your statement.

1. My prices on the ROTORA rotors are not $50-$100 more. There was one site offering free shipping on the rotors but last time I checked they are no longer doing so. And at most the shipping would be $40-$45 if you live on the west coast but it usually averages around $25.

2. I stock these rotors. Most of the other vendors do not. They order them when you order them and it usually takes 3-4 weeks to get them. This is not all the time but most of the time, at least from what I have read/heard.

3. I am not a member; I am an Official Vendor. I would not "screw" you and have a solid reputation on this site. Think: why would I "screw" one person out of a couple hundred dollars and lose future sales?

4. B/c other vendors and I pay to be vendors on this site, you get to enjoy the forums for free. If we were not here you would be paying. It costs the owners money to run this site and it takes time and b/c we pay fees to vend here you get to enjoy membership for free. So although it isn't necessary it is nice to support your vendors b/c we in essence support you.

just go to autozone and buy all the parts that have warranty's on them. I did my breaks in august, warped them by braking hard ( in the front) in december, went back, got all new parts FOR FREE, and fixed my problem. Rotors there have a 2 year warranty. The TL is not a race car, you don't need expensive rotors and pads, autozone parts are fine!

If you are looking to go on the cheap, try NAPA auto parts for rotors.
I always say HAWK HPS pads, stop great in all conditions

For better performance go slotted at least on the fronts- if you do a lot of mountain type driving,- style wise. That means track days, auto-x or repeated stops/slows from speed

Then I would call Excellerate and get the slotted rotors from him
