My rotors ony feel warped when they are hot like if I slow down from 60 a few times. Normal driving they dont feel warped. no wobble from the steering wheel Is that normal?

Chris - having same problem on my '99 TL w/98K miles. Diagnosis given was out-of-spec (unturnable) rear rotors, resurfacing needed on fronts, and pads all around. Opted for new rotors all around, since price difference was not that much for new ones vs. resurfacing. Looking at about $650-$700 parts + $250-$300 for labor (all non-Acura). I'll let you know how it works out - parts should be here later this week.

650~700 parts??? :wow:

If I were you, I rather go with aftermarket rotor(crossdrilled/slotted) with afteramarket brake pads because you pretty much will have same wraped rotor problem again with acura rotors.

I have a 2000 tlp. It was having the shudder problem. I called the dealer and my wife dropped it off to have the rotors turned. When she went to pick up the car the dealership told her that they replaced the front rotors on the car. They acknowledged that they were having problems with these rotors. They told her they were made from an inferior soft metal that was prone to heat warping. You should ask them about this. They gave us new rotors and pads on the front for free. Imagine that.

Go with new Slotted/Drilled rotors, they will last longer and work better. Can get rotors all around for under $300 and all new pads under$100. Install is usually $75 front and $100 for the rear. So around $550 and you will be all good for a while and look a lot nicer!!

If a rotor warped and was resurfaced there is going to have a more likelyhood of it happening again. The metal will be thinner and cannot disapate heat as easily. This is provided the same pads (make or actual) are used.

My GF just took her car in to a local tire shop (small chain) and they wanted to charge her $105 for ONE ROTOR for a lousy Plymouth Breeze!! I told her to call them back and I'LL do the front. Before I did that I called the place where they are getting the parts from and they sell the same ones to the public for $24. This shop normally just charges full retail for part swhich in this case was $39.99 per rotor. A far cry from $105 each. She called them back and they lowered the price to $30 each.
