Well like alot of you my rotors warped at about 12,000 miles, I went to the dealer yesterday to get them resurfaced when they came out and told me it would be 250 dollars. In shock, im like this isnt covered under warranty? The guy says "normal wear and tear", im like normal wear and tear at 12,000 miles on a car thats less than a year old. So after I got flustered and told him to call his factory rep, I received a call this morning saying that they would do it at no charge . Do you believe the nerve of them, theres prob some sort of a silent warranty on them and they would charge me and acura and get paid twice, scumbags.

 

the bastards...I never pay for anything unless it's something big. If it's for something that's wrong that's not supposed to be...they better pay up, cause I'm not!

 

My 2003 TLS had the rotors and pads replaced both at 7k miles and then again at 15k miles free of charge. I just took the car in for the 30k service and complained of warped rotors; I was convinced that they would try to charge me this time. Later in the day they called and said come get your car; they replaced all 4 rotors and pads again for free! On the service sheet it says replaced as per bulletin.

 

they def know about the prob, and the dealers are assuming that their customers are naive and that we wont know anybetter, boy were they wrong.

Yeah, there's a TSB out for the warpage problem..you shouldn't have to pay for shit.

 

Which dealer did u go to? Anyone wanna post the TSB too? I think I have warped rotors too.
