Question Want to Do this Today but I need advice. HELP PLEASE

Hello and thank-you for reading.

I am home today and want to clear my headlights for my '99 TL.
I know it is in the DIY section but it is down right now. I know how to take the cover off the lights with the hair dryer or over method. and I would like a little advice on the removal of the bumper ( screw locations ) and the orange lense removal.

If anyone might have copued the DIY section before the page went down that would be tons of help.

Thanks for any help

I woudlnt do this unless I knew what I was doing, just cause u can get leakage and condensation if not sealed right. Not saying people haven't done it successfully, but its hard. You should PM Mr. , he'd do a good job for you. Many people have taken that approach, and have been happy with his work.

You should try emailing him. I'm pretty sure he has gotten tons of requests for the '99-'01.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO???

to a silver TL (Heather Mist actually)

Should I clear the headlights - option #1

Should I clear the headlights and put in the clear cover in place of the amber (would require ordering parts) option #2

Should I take the advice of some in this post and black out the headlights - which I would love to see pics if they were on a silver car. I agree the black would look amazing on the white car or the black but I haven't decided if it would look better cleared or blacked - option # 3

Thanks again for the advice and help

I have SSM, I think I would do option 2 just b/c I dont want hassles with inspections, resale, cops, etc.

Not sure what black out looks like.

That was "songoku", who had his lights blacked out on his '00 SSM. If it was a NBP TL w/blacked out lights, it's "payyourtoll"....If the gallery were up, I'd link you the pics.
