At night at can probably be mistaken for the old c class. Even though it's a wanna-a-be MB grill, it makes the car look nice. I might even get it of i had that body.

It doesn't look too bad, but I wouldn't trash my TL for that look. I don't like those rims, either.

I would Wannabe an MB...

Definitely to each his own, I love the look of that TL, now I know how it looks like in black. If I had an extra $7-800 to spend I'd get that grill it's definitely tight, but yeah it is kinda flashy.

He definitely gotta get rid of those rims, after spending that much on the grill he gets some cheap a$$ rims??? At least get them in chrome??? It does no justice

do u think the grill looks like MB ones? I think so.... it doesn't make the car any nicer, it just make me feel the owner do not have the money to get the mercedez.....

btw.... if u have seen the Lorinser rims for Mercedez, you might know what I am talking about

If you do a search in the forum for BLAZE grill
you will find that in the recent past, the BLAZE grill was a top item that A LOT of owners were seeking out for a group buy.

It may not be appealing to you but there are A LOT of folks who were dying to get their hands on one here on this board last year.

I think the blaze grill looks awesome. Makes it look better than an MB. Does anyone on this board have it installed?

It's very common for an automaker to use another automaker's visual cues to build on an established association and influence buyers. The TL has several cues taken from other luxury brands. It's a little unfair to suddenly say "MB WANNABE!" just because you recognize one of these cues.

The fact is, 90% of the people who see that grill when the TL is going down the road are simply going to think "hmm luxury car" because MB has been using that style and created a strong "horizontal bars in grill = luxury car" association in most people.

I think it looks very nice, by the way.

Oh and another thing: most chicks will simply see "$$$ luxury car $$$" when they see the grill could be a cheap way to get the MB reaction without actually owning a MB hehe

let's make it simple, does the grill looks like the one E class used in the old days?

What kind of a car was that? Why diddn't they finish the back? The rear lights look like they came off a accord coupe.

MY opinion that 94 civic is a soon to be KINDA hot whip. I like some rice cars. JUst not to much and that 02 C-class front is a sick conversion. A few new yorker. Gt to be from Queens though. Pardon to all the Queens heads, but thats the so-called tricked-out import borough.

I don't understand why people try to pretend to be a Benz.... it's a TL and it's only a TL.... a civic is a civic.....what's the point?? If they like the Mercedez they should've got one instead of making their cars into piece of sh*t

You got your opinion, other got theirs....nuff said!

Oh yea..by the way, if you post pics of someones car, especially if you don't know the owner, be courteous and white out the tag number.

It is simple. Because they can. Not only that, you can bet that guy built that Mercedes/Civic/Accord conversion to attend carshows. If you show up in a tricked out Mercedes, people will look, and notice. If you show up in that hybrid he created, you will take home the 1st place trophy. I'm sure he could have got the Mercedes with the amount of money he put into that conversion, but then he would be just like all the other Mercedes owner out there. Now he is a leader, a creater, and the owner of a 1 of a kind car. Sometimes that is worth more then owning the Expensive Luxury car. You have to uderstand. These guys who do this conversions are not poor. Guys can drop 2X the value of the car, or over $100K in mods to their show cars. You never know, he could have a CLK 55 AMG sitting at home, but wanted to roll in someting totally unique. I personally would never to that, or drop that kind of cash, but I respect the heck out of his effort. I wouldn't have choose some of the parts he has, but that is one of the cleanest body work on the conversion that I have seen. Even Show cars featured in the magazines have obvious flaws and gaps, but that car is pretty well done (from a body work persepctive).

One of a kind usually means creative creation. But not simply put another car's nose on your car and put another rear on it. It's called bad taste of copying.

Regardless of the guy's background. It is still bad taste. I don't mind people rice their car out. But at least do it with some class, borrowing C-class front end is not creative. It's down right stupid.
