no, if you do some research, you would find out that you will you need and thats depending on how much you are willing to spend, either a shock and strut combo or coilovers. most people will just go with coilovers since shock and strut combos are expensive, and most of the time more expensive than coilovers!
i would suggest function and form type 1 coilovers, which are fully adjustable and you can totally slam it to the ground if you wanted to.

also don't forget the rear camber kit (the Ingall's one is normally the preferred one), if you still want decent tire wear
edit: also to OP check your spelling in the title next time

well im going from my own experience and research.. before i got my coilovers.. ive always wanted a spring and shock combo.. the d2 race springs or the neuspeed race springs.. they cost roughly 160-200.. then comes the shocks.. which cost more than the springs themselves. and for shocks.. i wanted koni yellow's ($699) or tokico illumina's ($559).. i did the math for you.. and ask yourself if its really worth it or just getting the ff1 coilovers and call it a day? you'll only pay 600~ + shipping (just checked the lowest prices) vs the shocks and springs on top.
but i guess its really just preference

my spring and shock (brand new Pro Kit, 4000 miles on GR2s) combo was $200 less than very used F&F Type 1s at the time that i bought them. i didnt have the extra $200 so i went for the shock and spring.
OP if you have no idea what you need, then I assume that you are going to get these installed from a shop? It might actually be cheaper to go with coilovers because the shop wont have to deal with removing the top hats from the old shocks and then mounting the springs onto the new shocks with old top hats. Installing coilovers takes away about an hour or so of labor time/charge.
just something to think about...

thats the only reason I went with Coils, it was cheaper/around the same price then buying a good set of Spring/shock combo. Plus you can Slam your ride with F2's
I paid 550 for my brand new set, no tax or shipping.
