Walmart is not so bad...

I don't know if anyone has noticed but Walmart is making a huge push into the automotive. I was in Walmart picking up groceries and soemthing just told me to go to the Automotive section. Wow. They have expanded their automotive section.

I am servicing my transmission and the last time I did I drain and fill (5,000 miles ago), I paid 34.00 dollars for 3 quarts of tranny fluid from Acura, not bad considering I do it every 5,000 miles. I heard of guys using Castrol Transmax. Did some research and AutoZone was 7.19 per quart. Walmat was 5.39. WOW

I paid 10.00 a quart at Acura. Walmart has better prices on almost everything, including filters. Take notice guys. My new friend is Walmart

Where I'm from in central Virginia, there isn't an Acura dealer around. Only Honda dealers. $10 per quart is pretty steep. When I did my 3x3, Honda only charged $7 for their DW-1.

Always go Honda!

I got my DW-1 for 6 bucks a Quart always. Honda Dealerships for anything! Leave Acura for ACURA specific parts like interior and such.

If you can look past their shady business practices (read: child labor blah blah blah), then yeah they're great. I'll still frequent them for oil though..
I've always bought my Mobil 1 5-quart jugs from them for the longest time now.

I wouldn't put anything from Walmart in my tranny. Honda fluid only.

Nope. I'll only use Honda for this picky ass trans. Walmart and their terrible practices can shove it.

wallys usually has good price on my friend Seafoam, and of course the 5 qt jugs of oil
Tip: ones with auto service dept have side door right to parts section! so no one will see you enter~
their other stores its hidden in a back corner
Ck out total price of oil and filter at W, versus the serious competition orellys has been doing recently- almost every 4 or 5 qt jug With a filter of your choice (not the kn or m1 sorry) but any filter is good enough really

We stay on top of changes and the engine never gives up really ugly oil to be concerned with

I will spend the extra dollars for Mother Hondas sweet red juice for the trans
and same for the ps fluid,,`fits.works in xyz, social accepted= are not good enough for certain things- to me

Having recently acquired a Honda Goldwing and changing fluids,,,
Honda motorcycle coolant is 8.95 A QUART!! and it takes an entire Gallon!
with tax thats 40 bucks JUST for coolant~
Some riders use the $10 a gallon Honda car coolant and so far so good but no one can say for sure if they are the same exact product,
BUT if it fails-does not meet some need of specific additive just for the bikes,
say causes a leak at thermostat like some other brands have proven to do = that's an expense TL owners would equate with trans replacement pricing~
For want of saving 10 dollars now

How many here complain about buying 2 gal of REAL Honda radiator juice every 5 years???

Buy a motorcycle and know real pain at the parts counter!!

I said "Mobil 1 EP"... Unless your planning on using engine oil for the trans? That is ENGINE OIL cheaper at wally.
