i was just wondering how many people did the Vtec LED indicator mod and if anyone had pics. I'm thinking of doing this mod and any opinions will be helpful.

a few dollars is hardly a waste of moeny..unless you cant spare that much?....anyway i dont think ehaders are any louder during vtec....intake is what roars when vtec opens up

 

What I dont understand is how you dont hear when vtec engages.. with the TYPE S i think its very obvious. Maybe I'm wong.

 

It's just a little hard to hear if you have radio cranked and all the windows closed.

 

i tried the vtec light mod on my 2000 and the directions are wrong. the wire with the green and yellow stripe isnt the correct one. i dont know which one it is. i doubt it would work on a 00+ or type S. anyone else have luck?

 

to me the best vtec LED/indicator is the VAFC

anyway, its different for 99 and 00 TLs im sure.

and i couldnt do the grill cuz the bolts were stripped and i couldnt remove them it wouldve been too long.

DAMN...you beat me to it! Like Desi stated...if you know your TL well enough, you'll know when VTEC hits.

 

I can tell when vtec kicks in but i jus want to put a blue LED in when it does. and it's only a few bucks.

 

acura tl, are the direction correct? i tried it and it didn't work cuz i had a bad led.
anyway i would appreciate it if you would let me know how to do it on a 2000 tl, if the directions are incorrect or what wire is correct.

i really think the instructions are good for all 99-03 TLs cuz asiankidd (the one who posted the instructions) has a 03 Type-S.... follow every step in the DYI section and it should work!
