VSA light and funny noise
So I seem to have two issues going on
1. Intermittantly when I start moving after a stop, I am seeing the VSA light pop on briefly. Even with gentle starts, no wheel spin.
2. Intermittantly, when turning, I hear a groaning sound. "PS Pump"?
This sounds like almost an electic hum.
Any ideas on either.
I pray they are tranny failure signals, and this is a warranty issue, as I am at 72K mi.

VSA senses impending wheelspin, so you may not fee actual wheelspin but the system senses it. How much tread do you have on your tires?
As far as the groan, that doesn't sound like a transmission issue... I'm not sure what it is.

Well is hard to tell what's going on. VSA is a complex systems, it can be anything, it could be something as simple as a bad wheel speed sensor. So is very hard to tell you where to start looking.
As for the wheel turning sound, it is very hard without hearing the exect sound your car is making it could be PS pump (check you ps fulid level make sure there is enought fluid) or a bad drive shaft, if the drive shaft is bad the VSA light might turn on when you drive. So again is very hard to tell without actually test driving your car.

Thanks for the thoughts. Looks like a trip to the stealership to get it checked out.
As for the VSA - new tires, literally <5000 miles on them, and the drivetrain explanation sounds like the it accounts for all the symptoms. Today, no issues. With the intermittant nature, I am going to have to wait this one out to see what is happening.
Thanks for the feedback.
