vsa light on

Well, I've only had the 02 TL-S for a month or so and the VSA light has just come on and stayed on. Both the exclamation light and the VSA light. I've tried searching but it's hard to search for VSA when the search won't recognize words under 4 letters. Anyway, I do no have the check engine light on and just tried pulling codes from the local Autozone and there's nothing there. Of course they told me they can only read engine codes so I guess that makes sense. Anyway, the closest Acura dealership is probably about an hour and a half away and the local Honda dealership said something to the effect of "We'll do simple maintenance, but anything more than that and we probably can't help you." So, I turn to you guys. It doesn't really feel like it's shifting bad, so do you think it could actually be tranny problems or is it jst something going wrong solely with the VSA system itself? If just the VSA, are there common things that go wrong with it?

it could be anything, you really should try bringing it to the honda dealer. There is NO reason they couldnt hook it up to their computer to tell you whats wrong. It could be just a speed sensor or a yaw sensor?? Only way to know is to have them get the codes

Got it to a dealer and they pulled four codes.
25-1 Yaw rate sensor failure
27-1 Steering angle sensor failure
64-1 Sensor supply voltage failure
83-1 ECM/PCM relation installation

Turns out they found a battery cable was loose. I felt pretty dumb because I've never bothered to check anything like that. They cleared the codes and took it out for a test drive and one came back.

27-2 Steering angle gear failure

They want $108 for the part and $170 for the labor to fix it. Does this sound right to most people? Is this actually an easy diy fix?
