VSA, ABS, and Check Eng. lights @ 110MPH
Car works fine.. then I get transmission replaced @ 48k.
Now, whenever i reach 110-112 MPH, the ABS, VSA, and Check Engine lights turns on. This situation happens regardless of if VSA is turned on/off.
When the check engine light is on, no codes can be read from the OBDII scanner.... it doesnt even register that the check engine light IS on!
I told acura dealership and they said "they'll look". Well, since the damn CE clears when i restart car... they never find anything wrong.. and said they wont take it out at 110 MPH to duplicate this situation...
any advice greatly appreciated!!
damn, when its not the tranny problem with this car its another..
oh well car hauls @ss nicely

bump.. dont wanna be annoying but this is a really frustrating issue. I've read of some people saying this caused by faulty 02 sensor.. any suggestions?

Well as far as I know, a faulty O2 Sensor would not cause the VSA and ABS light to come on. Sounds more or less that the car is telling you it doesn't want you to drive at 110+!

Yes, it could be a bad wheel speed sensor or an ABS sensor.
However, a bad ABS sensor or a wheel speed sensor would not trigger the MIL. So that's a mystery.
When an MIL comes on, the PCM is supposed to store the code. If there is no code to be read, then it sounds like an electrical problem. Wires must be crossed or something, causing those lights to come on.

FYI... Faulty 02 sensor or (wheel?) speed sensor...

Well mine indicates 160 on the speedo... but I dont go above 85 anymore. No need to kill myself or anyone else, or get a ticket or get tossed in the slammer. Once in a blue moon I might take it past 100, but very rarely these days... Like once every 6-7 monthes.

So did this happen like the first time you hit that speed after the tranny replace?
If so, I'd suggest they check all the connection and ask what PCM/ECM changes were done and if there was something done by the dealer . . .either wrong or missed . .

Drive it till the check engine light goes on. Take the car to AutoZone and have them check it with a ODB scanner. If you have to leave it running while you run in an get something so be it.

I already had codes scanned while car is running while the CEL, ABS, and VSA lights are on. ... and nothing was showing up on the OBDII scanner.
It wasnt even acknowledging the check engine light!
I'll stop by autozone and have them try to read the codes.
Thanks for the help!

Thats the biggest problem ... they wont try to replicate it so that means i need to drive 110 MPH on the way there and then park it and shove their face in the console.
I told them about it, but of course " well, we cant take it to 100 but we'll check to see if we can find any stored codes". Didnt know of such a thing as stored codes... wtf!
i'll be dropping car off for a week at dealership so they can figure it out when i go to F1 @ indy next month

HOWEVER.. I DO expect them to understand my situation and for them to more easily diagnos (is that even a word) my problem, I think its helpful for them to know how this situation can be replicated...
VSS ... never heard of it. What does it do? and can they test to see if it is failing?
Again, I really appreciate all the help. I joined this forum/site because it seemed like u guys knew what the hell u were talking about so THANK YOU to everyone who's responded.
Redlinen... I will take them for a drive so they can see this happening.. lights going on @ 110-112MPH...
Greatsmile.. I originally took my car to Jones Acura (Lancaster) for tranny replacement. Hence, I figure its proper for me to cover my @ss and go there for them to fix the problem they've created!
thanks everyone!
