VSA [off light]

It was pouring out on the freeway when I went over a sudden bump on the freeway, my VSA [off] light then blinked on and off. It happened before as well, in a similar fashion.
Is there a reason why?

If it was pouring as you say, it was probably just the VSA kicking in, albeit temporary.
TCS does the same thing, if there's a break in traction (wheel slippage).

yea... when vsa is on (light is off), and the vsa light turns on, it means that vsa is kicking in right at that time. its kind of a bad design, that the light can mean both off and on.

When the light flashes momentarily and then goes off, it means that the system is activated and it just kicked in to prevent further slipping from occuring. When the light is illuminated constantly and doesn't go off (The orange triangle on the dashboard stays on) it means the system has been deactivated. Personally, I don't like how sensitive the VSA is on the TL's. When you go over sometimes a small bump at higher speeds it kicks in...I was reading a review on the internet once on the Second Gen TL's, and the guy who reviewed the car even mentioned this as a con "VSA kicks in too easily"
