Vent Visor Info....69.95 Shipped for all 4!!!!

There was a post recently with the regarding these. The person had all 4 visors.

Well, to make a long story short, I went and ordered a pair for the front last week, because the place said they did not have the rears available. After seeing the post with all 4, I decided to check weathertech's website. I found all 4, shipped for almost $100.

I called the place I ordered the front pair from, and after about 20 minutes he called me back and said that weathertech just came out with the full set. He is getting me the set for 69.95 shipped!!

If anyone is interested, the place is called Cap Connection in Waukesha, WI. Their phone number is 262-524-8420.

Just thought I would share this find, and try and save my fellow TL'rs some money!

John

Very nice find...How long will this pricing last? How is Cap Connection's service?

I've been waiting for WeatherTech to release the rear pair before I bought them and finally realized it when AsianRage posted pictures of his car in the gallery.

BLAST YOU
I don't know if I'm the first one to get these (arrived last week and order the week prior), but 70 shipped is a great deal.
The visors are hella easy to install too. Just make sure it's warm though...

I believe this pricing is permanent. They didnt say they were giving me any discounts or anything!! The gentleman at the store said I was the first to order them, but I know that is not true since AsianRage already has them. He said the weathertech people were sick of hearing complaints for 3 years, so they finally made them. Just call Cap Connection and ask. I dont know if they will ship to your address. If someone is really interested, and wants them, I may be able to set something up where I can order them for you, then ship them personally and you can PayPal me the money. I would call first and ask if they will ship out of town, if so, great. If not, go to any truck accessories place and they should be able to get them for the same price. That 69.95 is out of a catalogue that looked standard (IE: Not just for their store). Just tell them you are looking for weathertech part # 72232.

If you want to order them online, the link is here: (for a 2003 TL-P)

Big Mike, they are actually pressure fit into the window channel. They will not scratch the tint since tint is on the inside of your window (I hope). This will touch the top outside edge of your windows, and thats it. It basically wedges in there.

And be really careful when you bend these suckers, the edges were laser cut or something 'cause they're kinda sharp.

The back actually uses clear thin 3M(?) tape on each side, since they don't require any force. You basically slide them in at an angle and... it's the easiest thing to do.

Well, I checked out the weathertech website and they have a Canadian site.

So for any Canadians, you can order from there (btw they only have the front set on their website but i've emailed them in regards to the whole set).

I just called these guys and they said that $69.95 is the price shipped to THEIR STORE. They do not ship out to anyone, and the price is only for pickup.

He will however call me to give me a quote for all 4 shipped to CA...but only after I've told them that they're getting some attention on an Acura Board.

OK, I talked to him just a few minutes ago. The 69.95 is shipped to their store, and then add tax (5.1%). The store is only 2 minutes from my house, so for me, its almost as if they are shipped to my house!

If it is going out of state... SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM WEATHERTECH THROUGH CAP CONNECTION, 69.95 + 15.00 SHIPPING TO YOUR DOOR!!!! NO TAXES SINCE IT IS OUT OF STATE.

This is still saving $15 over getting them through the website!!!

Now, if everyone paypals me the extra $15 they are saving, I will be rich in no time!!! LOL.....

Just send me some rep points for this one!

NOT TRUE. I JUST talked to him and found out that it's $69.95 + (5.1%) + $15.00 = $88.52

Still cheaper than WeatherTech direct, but YES...he DOES charge SALES TAX REGARDLESS. (FYI...WeatherTech doesn't)

I'm still thinking about this mod. Hmmm...

UPDATE!!!!

I just talked to Kurt from Cap Connection....

McNeil, the makers of the vent visors underestimated initial demand for these visors. They only ordered 10 sets from Germany (where they are made) and the ten were sold before they even got them. Anyone who ordered recently (IE: After me) will not be getting the vent visors until late December or early January. Kurt was very apologetic for the inconvenience, but there is not much that can be done about it. I myself will also be getting them late this year, so it does suck. I am a smoker, and I am very dissappointed with the drainage of rain from the windshield. It all comes in my drivers window, and leaks all over my left leg, window switches, and door panel, so its very irritating.

Oh well, guess we will have to wait! Just remember Patience is a virtue.

OK....another Update!

Talked to Cap Connection again today. Apparently all you guys who ordered them through Cap Connection will be getting them within the next few days. WeatherTec figured you drop ship guys were more important, so you get them first. I now have to wait until Feb 11th! Kinda sucks, but oh well. A small price to pay for helping out the community! Who ever gets them first has to post some pics. I cant wait to see how they look!

Your Welcome,
John

WOw...this long? I cancelled my order once I found out how long it really took...and I figured I might as well order from Weathertech directly if it increased my chances of getting it quicker. Answer...NOPE. Either way, I still cancelled my order due to the wait, since I figure by the time we get em, rain season will be over. Good luck to the rest of you guys.

According to Asianrage, the front visors are clips and the back are double sided tape.

The Inspire visors are all clips, but the rear ones don't come down as far as the Weathertech ones do.

I'm not a fan... I can appreciate the fact that some like it, and I love the overall look of AsianRage's car...

However, personal taste for me - I don't want to put anything on my car that detracts from the continuity of it's lines... No spoiler, no sunroof visor, no window vent visors... But that's just me...

Everyone's gotta decide for themselves what looks good... For me, I decided that the underbody kit was the way to go... My next mod is to drop the car...

And hell, that's just how I feel now... I reserve the right to change my mind at any time!!!

Actually, the back is clipped too, but they have extra 3m tape to secure it better. It's not necessary though. They all slide into the channel where the glass would go into and stay there due to tension.

Conversely, I thought that the Inspire visors were all 3m tape.

Quick Reply: Vent Visor Info....69.95 Shipped for all 4!!!!
