Post Venom 400 installed.

After a long while...I've finally been able to install my Venom 400 as well as the Iridium IK20s that I got from Tim. All I can say right now is DAYAM SMOOTH. The iridiums added extra power, but it left the car slightly jerky due to the added torque. Upon addition of the Venom 400, it feels as if the complete power band has been smoothed out making the car completely exhilaration on the freeway. Anyone know any shops in SoCali who do Dyno testing? I heard Dynamic Auto does but they charge an arm and leg. Neptune Motorsport ring a bell to anyone? Any help on this would be great.

Those plugs may produce a couple of ponies, but the Venom shouldnt produce any, and I hope that Venom doesnt claim it does. All the Venom system does is trick the ECU into thinking more throttle is being applied than there really is. If you apply 50% throttle it tells the ECU 65% is being applied. SO the car feels more powerful in day to day driving.

In a race or on a dyno, when 100% throttle is being applied, you cant fool the ECU and tell it 110% throttle is being applied. In day to day driving you'll notice the gains, but in a race or dyno when 100% throttle is already being applied, the Venom wont produce anything unless some other settings on your car are changed as well.

That's quite stupid imo. just apply more throttle if you want more power.

I got the Venom for $287 on Ebay.

In regards to performance. The Venom doesn't work on th upper RPMs. It works in the 1000-5000 range. In essence to what it does is that it opens up the throttle more, making the air/fuel mixture level higher at the lower RPMs. When you floor it your automatic transmission shifts due to the incease in power right? With the Venom the tranny downshift timing is advanced alot, so stepping a lil close to 1/2 way will downshift the tranny. Whether this is controlled by the venom or car ECU I'm not sure. But I can definitely feel a difference with it on and off.
