Question Valet Switch

I know this varies by alarm system, but I was wondering of those that have the factory alarm, where's the valet switch?

I don't think there is a valet switch. Just give your valet key to the valet so they won't arm the car. Usually a valet switch is used with alarms with an automatic locking feature.

I have the automatic feature...

I've looked everywhere for the switch because i'm sick of the automatic locking feature...

I believe Greenpelikan is correct, there is no valet switch for the "autolocking" feature. There is a way to disarm the chirp on the alarm (make it arm silently), but that's it. Also, unless you have an aftermarket alarm, or your arm accidentally hits the switch and locks all of the doors, you don't have an automatic locking feature. There is none available on any model that Acura makes....

I believe the idea is to prevent a valet from getting into the trunk. Open the glove box and look at the extreme left side of the glove box area and you will find an on/off switch that diables the trunk release. If you turn the switch off and lock the glove box the valet should not be able to open the trunk with the valet ignition only key.

I should have mentioned the switch is on a 2002 TL-S model. I'm not sure if earlier TL's have it.

My '00 TL also had the valet switch in the glovebox.

If you want to restrict access to the trunk, you also have to make sure the pass through in the back seat is locked. This also cannot be unlocked by the valet key.
