Using iPhone for Audio

Curious on folks using the iPhone for audio in their 2nd generation TL. What are people finding as the best ways to go?

it works

Heard that the USSSpec does work with the iPhone too. Are you using the stock radio/CD unit?

Some folks are replacing it but you loose the subwoofer with the new head unit.

How is the audio output/EQ on the iphone versus previous ipod generations? I know I noticed a huge drop in sound quality between the newest iPod version versus the 4th Gen.

I've heard its very good but have not heard a direct comparison. I believe their may be a new iPod using some of the tech in the iPhone in the next month or so.

Thinking about adding this to the stock unit as I hear it allow you to use the controls on the wheel.
It's also reported to be compatible with the iPhone.

Okay, I'm closer to going with this as the manufacturer answered my question:

So far all of the tests show the adapter as working great with the iphone. The adapter also has RCA inputs so you at least be able to get the CD Quality Sound.
