The problem is like this. My cd player is not working, so I ordered this ipod adapter PA11HON from crutchfield.com and it does not work at all. Here is the email they replied me.

The 2000 Model TL we researched only had a single cd/cassette and was a Bose system. Unfortunately what was advised earlier is correct. The 2000-2002 Acura radios that had a built in CD changer will not work with this nor the other Peripheral device for Ipod or AUX integration. 2003 and up models are different and can use an adapter even with a built in CD changer but not vehicles prior to 2003.

I remember someone here said this item works with 2002 TL-S with cd changer. Do you guys know if there is any way to make it work or could you recommend something else with the same function can work for my car. I really need music!!!Thanks in advance.

 

My understanding is that the OEM 6-disc changer head units in the 2002 and 2003 TLs are identical.

Was that email reply from Crutchfield or the manufacturer of the adapter?

There's also the possibility that whatever caused your CD player to fail is also keeping the adapter from working.

Yeah, I chose car model and year on crutchfield step by step then the website gave me this item telling me this for my car. Now they said it's not gonna work with CD changer. Since every 2002-TL has CD changer, it's ridiculous.
