Is the Ultra S pulley smaller than the OEM? Cause my mechanic said that its too small or something like that so he didnt want to install it because it might cause a problem. The part number is the correct one also so now im confused.

yes...the UltraSc is the same diameter as stock. The Ultra S is much lighter and is a underdrive version - it is the pulley nearly everyone puts on...your mechanic doesnt know what he is talking about.

Yes, the Ultra S pulley is smaller than the OEM...that's the whole point of it. Underdrive so that you get some HP gains out of it. The weight difference is also amazing. If you hold the OEM and the UR crank pulleys, you'll notice a HUGE weight difference. I have the Ultra SS kit, and so do many other people on the forum and there are no problems as long as it is installed correctly.

What about Fuel Consumption? Have any of you seen an increase or decrease after the install of this? What amounts? I've been very interested in this install but since our car sucks on mileage, I don't want to pay more in fuel. The car is very good already!

If you keep your foot out of it, there's no change in fuel mileage.

Just install UR pulley sets on my car. Love it! You will notice the rmp shoot up faster than before. Should I just disconnect the battery and get the full gain right away?

even if you disconnect the battery, you wont get the full gain right away. the computer still has to learn the new engine mod - you just save time by starting with a blank slate

I get good gas mileage...20 all city and at least 28mpg on the highway. If you get much worse, you just get the engine into VTEC much more often - VTEC = V8 gas mileage. But a pulley install wont do anything for fuel mileage. It all depends on how you drive the car

Disconnecting the battery on the UR install does nothing. The is nothing for the ECU to adjust as there is no change to the air fuel mixture. You should notice the gains from the install right away as the gains come from a lighter, underdiven crank pulley.
