Upper Plenum Gasket

Does this need to be replaced when removed to clean the EGR passages? Or can it be reused if not damaged?

Thanks

Nah, if it's still solid....just clean it up and make sure that you properly re-install it.

Thanks guys.
Figured while I've get everything apart to do the t-belt, may as well do that too.
Does the intake need to be removed? Or do you just remove the top cover & go from there?

MAKE SURE the UP position of gasket stays UP
can install upside down,,,,,,,,,, but car wont run

torque is critical in install !!!

get 2 new spacer gaskets tb to manifold (1 on each side)
get 1 new iacv COVER gasket in case it tears
do clean iacv and all of tb while its off the manifold
remove as 1 unit with manifold from engine

you need to remove the whole intake for proper cleaning, not just the cover. Easy job, but the cleaning is tedious and you'll need lots of rags. You'll need minimum 3 cans of carb cleaner. Dont forget to clean the throttle body and remove IACV for cleaning. Then remove the EGR valve and clean it... and spray cleaner thru the hole from the intake and run a coat hanger thru there to clean out the gunk all the way to the EGR valve mount location.
