Update on Vtec light

I've been reading and reading all the honda sites and realized that there are 2 green wires in the ECU and I spliced into the wrong one. So I rewired it to connector A4 and now when I turn the engine on the light comes on and stays on. Any ideas why??? Anywhere I looked it said A4 is the vtec signal. Oh and I put a resistor to the ground wire. Help....

Now to the funny part, now by the way the engine sounds it looks like the Vtec is on the whole time (doesn't matter rpms or speed) Maybe I bypassed the signal???

I think you have the vtec engaged at all times by grounding it, thus enabling the circuit.
