damn... so it looks like i got your hopes up too early guys. the mechanic hasnt fully assembled my car yet. the seats and console still arent connected. he has everything off still because the flywheel was fucked. he doesnt want to have to rip everything out if there are any other problems. hey kris. can you lock this thread. ill start up a new one when my car really is finished

We dont believe you!

No offense but it sounds like BS! I wouldnt dissassemble my center console because my flywheel is jacked up!as a matter of fact I would have had all the interior stuff done first since it is the easier shit to take care of. Also if a mechanic were to be changing your clutch he wouldnt be needing to take apart your center console for anything. Show some pics and we might believe you. I know that I can show pics of my swap!

What's your problem? These things take time, and people run into issues. The shop I'm sure has other cars/customers to take care of as well. Yeah, we all want pics, but he hasnt been able to get any yet, I'm sure he will. If he was lying about this whole thing he knows everyone would give him shit for it, and I doubt anyone wants to do that on Acurazine. Give him a break.

Thanks Chris and Kris LOL. I wouldn't be here right now if i was just fucking with everyone about my swap. this is legit. He's saying that he will be able to finish it up by this saturday, but i'm doubtful cuz ive been waiting so long as it is. we'll see how it goes, and since this weekend is mothers day, I'll be home to go up to the shop to take pictures. Called him on tuesday and he told me he fired the car up after the flywheel was installed and the tranny was reinstalled and everythings running. now he just needs to take care of rebundling the harness and getting everything back in to do a test run.

I guess your ass doesn't know how much rewiring has to be done to the harnesses. He didn't put the center console back on because nothing was back on. all the seats and interior was ripped out of the car to do the harness work.

Good progress. Hope to see this thing running soon.

Rewiring is a big bitch from what I hear from everyone.

I'll be going through the same process soon.

Good luck man

Cool Another Update, and hopefully one of the last...

^Thanks .

I just called the shop today. The car is done. He's in the painting the fender bumper and door right now, so I can finally pick up the car tomorrow ! This time, it's for reals. Haha, everything's put back together so I should be set. Pictures up maybe tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening. I'll keep everyone updated. I'll probably post a new thread once I get the car tomorrow. Keep looking here for updates tomorrow!

My TL has 70k miles and was on its original transmission when it died. My car is a salvaged title so the tranny was scrap metal.

Oh also in reference to my first comment. Im very aware of the wiring! The first thing that I did was change all the harnesses in the dash with that of a CLS 6sp. the only portion that I didnt swap out was the portion that goes out to the engine bay and I can get to that with my dash and most of the center console in tact. But anyway ya'll are the know it alls.

He's talking about all the rewiring (not just switching out harnesses) to get the window controls, door locks, etc. back. You have to rewire all your interior electronics to the new CLS interior wiring harness. Glad I decided to stick with my TL-P .
