Unlocking Seatbelts outside of the car
Hey guys!
I got some new seatbelts for the TL and I want to kinda clean them up a little before putting them in the car.
I have them outside but I cant 'unlock' them at all. They wont extend too much and I am hoping someone can give me an idea on how to do this?
Or I am thinking that I may have to take out the B-Pillar and plug them in to pull them out and then clean them. But have never done something like this on the interior too much.
Has anyone every pulled apart the B-Pillar trim?
Do you know where I should pull first, and where to watch for certain tabs so I dont break them?

the diy has a thread on removing interior b pillar trim for belt assembly replacement
Guessing junkyard new- as they need cleaning??
1 possibility is the interlock that triggers and locks the belt in place during airbag deployment
the other may be as you suspect- must be plugged in
NOTE remove bat neg cable or you will cause false srs codes playing with the seatbelt power or any seat srs connections

Dang and I thought I had seen all of the DIY in the sticky.
And yea I already have the SRS light on since I put in the CL seats. I was just about to clear them out, but I will wait until after these seat belts are in to clear it.
where is the interlock switch located? Can it be manually overridden?

I just checked the DIY thread and all I see is the exterior b pillar trim.
I am talking about the interior b pillar. I kinda think I can pop it out, but don't know where to start per se.
