Unbeleiveable

something really wrong happened tonite that i have never heard nor read about. i was kinda racing some kid as a joke only going to about 60mph tops but accelerating hard then i tried to break and i realized it was hard. it was like the gas pedal got stuck and was continuously acceleerating. i could break and then i would let off and it wuld slowly but continuously accelerate. i shut the car off, put the parking break on, and then turned it back on and the rpms revved to 3 and i didnt know what to do. i also sensed an odd smell. i played around with the gas pedal like shook it and jiggled it and turned the car back on and it was back to normal. what happened?!?!?! anyone ever hear of this????

To be honest they probally do not check the gas pedal during a service unless it feels weird when they drive it in.
There is a Bulletin about a stiff gas pedal for acura, mainly around coastal areas.
Something about the moisture and salt deposits makes the butterfly plate stick.
Mention this to the dealer, it's fairly new bulletin.

This may be true but I'm just letting people know that there is an Acura bulletin which is a free fix if in warranty still for a sticky or hard throttle.
