South Florida International Auto Show
South Florida International Auto Show
I just got back from the auto show in Miami, FL. The show was huge. Acura had a pretty good set up this year with the new Acura TL TypeS and the new MDX. First they had two TL TypeS's. One was black with two tone black and silver leather seats and the other was silver with the A-Spec Package. The one with the A-Spec package had a huge crowd around it while no one noticed the black on for some reason. I guess the body kit, lower suspension, and 18 inch chrome wheels made it look better. I don't understand why they put 17 inch wheels on the stock TypeS. I thought they would have caught on to the trend of bigger wheels.
Another popular one was the new MDX. It is a very nice SUV. It looks sporty and more up to par with the Infiniti FX and Lexus RX. The interior was very luxurious and similar to the RL's interior. I also like the new interesting textured grille and dark silver wheels.
Other highlights from the show.
Lexus LS460-The new LS was one of the most popular cars at the show with its new self parking feature. It comes in regular and long wheelbase forms and is now eligible to compete with the Mercedes S and BMW 7. It has a V8 with over 380hp and the extended version features a special reclining rear seat option that also lift your legs like the Maybach.
Mercedes SLR McLaren-This had to be my favorite car at the show by far. I had never seen one in person, but it was unbeleivable. The extra long front end and short rear give this car the look of a pure supercar.
Concept Cars-The Camaro and Imperial concept cars were also at the show. The Camaro was red and was very retro and modern at the same time. I hope the production version looks that good and hope Chevrolet doesn't screw it up. The Chrysler Imperial was also on show with huge suicide doors with no pillar between them. This is one that htey should make, but dought they will.
