Uhhh seafoamed wrong?

So i just returned something from advanced auto and i was like wth, i mine as well pick a bottle of seafoam for the first time. The guy told me since i drove that acura, i should put it all in the gas tank when close to empty. He said something about not putting into vacuum line cause i have a plastic intake? So i couldnt wait, so i just put it in the tank right when i got home with about half tank, will this do anything helpful/harmful? or will it just be a complete waste?

You haven't done anything wrong. In fact, that is a good concentration - a whole can of SF into half-a-tank of gas. But that is only part of the SF job...still need to clean the intake. Btw, these cars do NOT have a plastic intake.

the home computor was getting an update~ sorry to be late.

I always suggest seafoam at 1 can to just under a half tank= 8 gallons
that the seafoam directions for cleaning does- 2oz per gal fuel
do that again on another half tank-to full tank,
and most of the cleaning of all the systems will be done!
EXCEPT
still need to go thru the TB air plate- both sides and edges with engine OFF
to clean and lube its pivot hinge
there you can spray DEEP CREEP seafoams aerosol version,
or make your own with a plastic spray bottle and seafoam
Use that while engine running above idle-up to 2000 rpm for a minute or two = works awesome..lots of smoke for the visual effect

that will get the remaining places clean, and will suffice as a manifold vac port-
as it definetly reaches all the cylinders from there~

noobs should repeat in a month or so- to get any remaning bits and what new stuff has adhered- then good for a year/15kmiles

carb/tb cleaner works on TB, but lacks the lube seafoam leaves on the hinge

we do have a plastic top engine dress cover- just for looks- the manifold is aluminum, dont use that parts guy anymore!

4 bolts or screws and the cover is off- you can leave it off if you want
From there you are looking at the exposed tb assembly-towards driver side
the spring assembly to lube for it, and how you turn it to open with your fingers is obvious

The clamps holding the snorkel tube from the air filter box to the TB get loosened and unplug the hoses attached to the snorkel
remove snorkel

If you are using the Master vac port: its the thing on tob of TB to manifold connection with a little finger size hose to it- and a `squeeze together to open` type clamp-
when hose removed a metal nipple extends from manifold-
add seafoam thru there by spray, or suction/vac method with hose and cup

Yea i know, but its just that i already did it, so there was no turning back and i just wanted to know if the guy from advance was wrong. Btw, wasnt there a model of our car that you would definitely avoid the vac line?

there are vac ports NOT to use, the brake booster for one
Use the master which for sure feeds all 6 cylinders
