Type-S vs Type-P fuel efficiency

I would guess that the Type-S would have lower MPGs because of its higher output.. Is there a difference or is it negligible or none at all?

There isn't much, if anything I feel like the Type-S gets better mileage than my sis's 01.

negligible.

You need to understand, that while the TL-S is making more horse, its not doing so under normal driving/cruising.

The window sticker on the 02-03 TL-P and TL-S both say 19-29. Under normal driving they should get about the same. (depending on engine, tire, maintence condition)

well the efficiencies of the type-S would probably not overcome the inefficiencies of a lead footed driver.

Not necessarily EFFICIENCY but,
My '01 CL-S A/T got 30-33mpg, my '05 TL 6MT got about the same.
My '07 TL-S 5A/T gets around 30mpg freeway with 14K miles on it. The city mpg SUCKS at around 22-24mpg. Quite a bit less IMO overall.
