Type S A-spec wheels?
Need opinions on some wheels for my car, i cant decide between buying new wheels or refinishing the factory a-spec wheels? im leaning towards refinishing the factory ones unless i find a set that i really like...

Well i think it all depends on how long you are going to keep the car. because if you wont keep it long, than theres no point in buying new rims. but overall when i sold my car, the owners were young and they loved that my car was kept stock(factory wheels). but i would refinish the wheels because if you are still going to keep the car the wheels still have a good design and look good when refinished.. Hope i helped![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I'm thinking of eventually refinishing mine.

I was going to refinish mine in championship white, but I'm gonna sell mine instead. Offset kinda weak and can't fit bbk.
I think white would contrast nicely against both NHBP and ABP.

there's a quarter inch difference in sidewall height, close to 2% overall diameter difference which okay but would give a 4X4 look if not lowered. I'm wondering whats the safest tire brand to wrapp these wheels in 235/45 by that I mean it would be originally designed in a way that would sit on a 6.5 inch wide rim witout any risk of popping out.

Haven't found any in Montreal area. I saw a couple 3G A-spec wheels but they're asking an arm and a leg. I'm working on a trade-off for a 3G base rims from a guy who is selling his car. Hope it works out.

I don't know about you, but the A-spec rims almost look like the '03 Oddysey rims for that year. Perhaps I am biased but I liked the Type-S rims ... a solid 5-spoke rim that looked aggressive but very practical appearance.
For $400, that's almost enough for a set of ASA rims on Tirerack ... ($544 plus shipping). Or ... you can get a nice set of forged BBS rims (look at the BBS website) RG 744H - DBK ... $544/rim. Very good price for forged quality rims. (And I'm a sucker for mesh rims ...)
PS White painted rims? That's so early 90s. Plus ... a pain to keep clean (ie brake dust).
