lmao... i love it when people do stuff like this. You might also try to add a v8 emblem to the rear of your car.

You can drill it, The thread used for the 99 TL is thicker then 00-03 TL.

Yup, gotta drill it out.

I believe it's a 3/8" bit that you'll need to use.

excuse my ignorance, but how do you drill the post for your shift knob??? Do you have to drill the shift knob so that it's a larger opening???

If that's the case, then what you are saying is the shift knob posts on the 99-01 TL's are bigger than the 02-03+ TL's???

Am I correct?

correct. the shift post is slightly larger and uses a different thread. all you have to do is drill out the inside of the shift knob slightly then rethread it on to the post

Obviously you won't be drilling the post and like I said ABOVE, ONLY the 99 TL thread size is bigger then the 00-03TL. The difference is only in the 1999 TL. 00-03 TL can interchange the shift knob.

So drill the shift knob with a 3/8" drill bit like NSXNEXT said. If you own a 00-03 TLP, you can just put in the TypeS shift knob.
