Angry "Type-S" is gone!

After owning this car for almost 2 years, I have finally become one of the statistics of vandalism. Now I know how some of you feel. This morning when I got to the parking lot, I found out my "Type-S" emblem is gone! The bastard left a 2 inch vertical deep scratch where the emblem used to be. The damn scratch is to the bone!! Now I'm forced to clear out all the other letters (ACURA and 3.2TL). I never liked the cleared out look in the back, but I'm not about to put another Type-S emblem there and have it ripped out again. I'm not really angry that they took the emblem, I'm just pissed on the fact that they have to scratch up my baby. The emblem is only a few bucks. Why can't people just buy one instead of vandalizing people's car?DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What should I do with the scratch? Anybody just use the touch up paint to cover it up? Will it still rust? DAMN I'M PISSED!!

Damn, that really sucks. Sorry

That's one of the reasons I debadged within the first week of owning the car... I was afraid of the Type-S badge walking... although, not so much that as the damage that may occur.

Touch-up paint should protect the scratched area nicely. That or you can buy another badge and place it over the scratch? I'd still do the touch-up paint just in case....

Just put some touchup paint on it, then debadge the "3.2TL". You can leave the "ACURA" tehre if you are not into the cleared out look

Yea, I was worried about possible vandalism and scratches. Of course, that was before my mom closed the garaged door on the rear bumper, leaving three massive gashes on it...I'm just bitter.

Bastards!! That too is why I debadged my Type S logo. In fact, the logo is still sitting here near my computer as I type.

Don't feel bad about the garage door either. My wife drove the car one day, then came home and said "The garage door won't close. It keeps going back up. I tried it 3-4 times and it does the same thing!!"

Guess who's TL-S got gashes on the back!!!

What are people doing with stolen logo's? Are they trying to fool people into believing that their regular TL is an S? Jeez, just go buy one!

Sorry to say it, but the person that took that has to be a Honda owner. I see alot of ****ing punks running around in NJ & NY with 1991 Civic hatch backs and ****ty 89 Accords with Acura-Type S badges.......... WHY!!!!!!!

It's pretty sad.

Why **** up a nice new Acura to take the emblem off and put on a ****ty 1989-1991 Civc.

If you want the emblem so bad go buy it!!!!!!!

I wish you caught that **** as he was doing it so you could break his ****ing hand.

Excuse the language but I hate people who steal!!!

LOL, reminds me of a suped up Civic I saw with the C55 and AMG badges on it. Dumbass probably should have at least tried to alter the body of the car somehow.

A few years ago I saw an (get this) 85' Ford Tempo painted black with Mercedes badges on the back. Everything was blacked out and I'll be damned if it didn't ALMOST look believable.

I remember when it was cool to rip off Mercedes hood ornaments and where them on chains around their neck.

Thanks for all the support guys. I just went out, took out the 3.2TL emblem and touched up the scratched up area ( I left the Acura letters alone because I don't really like the totally cleared out look). Even though I'm preventing the area from rusting, you could still see the line clearly. ARGGGHHHH!!! Instead of an Acura 3.2TL-TypeS, I now own an Acura "1"

I once saw a beat up 80s model Camero with a Type-S emblem in the back. Look so stupid IMO. That Mexican dude probably ripped it off from one of our fellow Acura owners. I mean, for a few bucks, they can easily buy one. I just don't get it!!!! Totally ruined my day.

I am sure it is because of the increased HP it (type-s emblem) provides...

... yeah, I know what you mean: All those doodes that RIP OFF emblems must be MEXICAN. what I can't stand is all those other THIEVES that appear to be MEXICAN and rip off emblems. And if you were to confront one, I am sure they would talk in that FILTHY MEXICAN language. AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!

It's people like you that send us back a couple of decades every time we progress a couple of years. Idiot!

Why don't you just repaint the whole trunk lid if you are really bothered by the deep scratch?

woho easy cowboy . I have nothing against Mexicans. As a matter of fact, I have many Mexican friends. The reason I said that was because I saw him in the car and has a Mexican flag dangling on his rearview mirror. If he was white, my original common would be:
I once saw a beat up 80s model Camero with a Type-S emblem in the back. Look so stupid IMO. That "white" dude probably ripped it off from one of our fellow Acura owners.
So, it's nothing personal and I'm not stereotypical. I don't want to make this into a racial discussion but it's over sensitive people like you that racism still exist in this country cuz you make a mountain out of a molehill.

NO, if you really didn't want to make this a racial discussion, you would have noticed your mistake and acknowledged it graciously. If you really didn't want to make this a racial issue, you would have just said you saw a person, or doode, or boi, or man, or whatever.

In your comment there was no need to specify race, 'cause it doesn't affect the fact that a person ripped an emblem of a car.

take it as constructive criticism. Don't get offended, I know I am not (but then again, I ain't mejicano). To be honest, I am resigned or maybe apathetic about the whole race issue. ... I actually enjoy your rather intelligent posts most of the time (unlike mine which are mainly motivated by extreme boredom).
