I agree. I think carbon fiber would be much cooler and sportier.

I saw a real carbon fiber kit on a porsche 911 turbo the other day (you can tell it's real because the carbon fiber looks 3D) and the aftermarket fake carbon fiber tapes just look cheesy and tasteless compared to it now...

Oh no... Does the 2002 TL-S not come with a Parchment / Wood Trim interior (with any color)? I do not really like the black wood trim. Please let me know ASAP as this is my first post and I do not know much about the car. Thanks.

If I got a type S that trim would need to be "fixed". Maybe it looks better in person.

Yup, the "bowling ball" trim sucks. That is the primary reason I ordered my TL-S with parchment interior. Not that the lighter fake wood looks great, but it's a BIG improvement over the black stuff.

Does anyone know if the TL-S will come with parchment interior with the regular wood finish? I hope so, otherwise I may have to reconsider purchasing the 2002 TL-S. Thanks.

I would like to know if you can change the trim or would it require replacing the door panels etc? I have a black/black TL-S on order and I do not like the black wood trim. Any ideas as to what I could do to fix it? Thanks for any ideas.

vandy786, it is my understanding that the parchment interior does come with the regular wood trim. I can't imagine what else it could be with a lighter interior.

Thanks for answering...I really hope you are right, phatboy. IMO, the regular wood trim looks elegant and I can't imagine the TL-S without it.

I confirmed with the local dealer that he is 100% sure that the parchment leather comes with the regular wood color trim throughout, same as the CL-S with parchment.
Hope that helps.

Thumbs down

The more pics I see of the bowling ball trim, the more I hate it. That stuff is so fake looking and disgusting. Isn't there something more sporty or more classy looking? Even the regular wood trim would look better.

I personally like the black wood-looking interior as opposed to the brown wood-looking trim. If was up to me I would like to see brushed aluminum offered, like on the Audis and BMWs.
