Type-S Gauges

Has anyone heard of when those sweet Type S gauges are going to be in stock?

I really want to replace my standard gauges with the Type S set because, well, they look cool.

I don't think Tim will be getting those anytime soon....or if ever I believe. I'll hook you up with mines! you just need to pay the price of how much my dealer wants em for! Keep in mind, only people with the Type S can order the gauges, mind you they need the VIN# :p

ElegantTL, thanks for the offer. If my dealer doesn't want to hook me up then I'll definitely be getting in touch with you.

Thanks for the recommendation shawite.

asiankidd, where have you seen a way to get the gauges without owning a Type S?

for that matter why couldn't you get a VIN off of any Type S car at the dealer or at the mall shopping lot and use it?

Does anyone know if the TLS and CLS gauges are the same??

I need to get some new gauges for my TL, and I wanted to get some TLS gauges or CLS gauges if they are the same..

And those who have purchased them from the dealer, how much did you get them for??

My '02 Silver gauges cost $91 for the 3

sales tax in So FL is 6%.
Believe the 3 gauges were $85.xx before tax.
Put them in myself in about 45 min.
Look and work great. They were in stock - no order.
Just walked up to parts counter at dealership, didn't quote
phoney VIN. They might have used one (unknown to me).
Good luck!

Paul,

yeah.. I think I did.. It's worse than the first day.. now it's off by 50mph.. So I could go 100, and my speedo will say 150!!

Also, somehow I managed to scratch my fuel gauge, I think it was because when I was taking off the sticky tape, I used my fingernail to get off some of the harder parts and caused it to scratch..

raver

You wouldn't happen to have the part numbers for those gauges would you?? That is a great price if the dealer were really able to get them to you..

99TL -> 02 TLS
TCS won't work, gear indicator doesn't match (4 SP & 5 SP)
00,01TL -> 02 TLS
TCS won't work
