i really really want the type-S gauges, but I dont know the first thing about taking cars apart and such (im a total noob). what would be the best way of getting them installed?

also, where the heck do you find these things? tim doesnt have them, nor any place online ive looked...

As far as install goes, you can go to our FAQ page to the left, and see pictures of how to replace the gauges

As far as where to get them, try going to your local dealer and see if they will sell them to you.

Yes.... I remember someone said that the dealer has to get the VIN # from Type-S or something.

I wonder if there is any risk to a VIN "donor" if they let us use their TLS VIN so that those of us that want S guages could use their number to get the guage? I have a friend with a TLS but don't want to compromise his position at all.

For that matter what would keep someone from going through a parking lot and writing down a TLS VIN from some stranger's car?

I am actually holding out for the indiglo guages but will follow this just in case.
