Type S Accord

I sorta know what you guys like about the J32A2 motor. I swapped one in my 98 Accord sedan. Im having to work out some tranny issues. I had to swap in a 00 pcm to get DIS ignition. So i had to use the "S" harness. Its much different with sensor and solenoid locations etc.. than my 4AT. Vtec kicks in too early at 3500 rpm and no IMRC yet. It runs hard and sounds mean as long as i manually shift. I got headers with stock "S" intake. Amyway, I just wanted to holler at yall. Peace out!

...Welcome to the forums...

grats on using a TL engine and all, but head over to the accord forums...you'll have more info and luck there being as you have an accord and thats not a rare mod.

I highly doubt someone with a corvette engine in a Miata is gonna get much from a corvette forum

Im already on .net etc....And im not looking for attention from any of you. Its not exactly a common mod either. And your comparing a vette and miata to a honda and acura isnt very accurate. Since one is a chevy and one a mazda. Unless youre saying that acura is too good for honda. Thats like saying a child is better than his parents.

Once you get the kinks worked out that should be a really nice setup. Do you plan on staying auto or doing the 6spd from a CL-S?

Thanks man. No I plan on keeping the auto cause its a factory reman that has only a few thousand miles. I did help a kid recently do a J32A2 w/6speed in his 99 TL. The 6sp. feels real nice but i live in a heavy trafic area and dont care to shift constantly.

All im saying is this is a TL forum, not a TL-Engine forum.

As to the vette/miata thing. People throw corvette V8's into Miatas pretty often. So going to a corvette forum saying "I put your engine in my miata!" is the same thing in principle. Engine from one car, to another. Doesn't matter the make.

Never said an Acura is better than a Honda. IMO there is no such thing as Acura.
How was I to know you were on the .net forums? In case you weren't I was suggesting you join and spread your news, you'll get a lot of love there.

And yes, te J32A2 is a pretty common engine-swap mod for accords, most people aren't going to throw in some B or a different F series engine into the accord. Maybe a K, but most likely not. So they choose a the J32A2.

Dont dwelve further into what was said and make your own asumptions like as if I said Acura is better than Honda, or that I was comparing a Mazdavette to your Accord Type-S.

But like I said first time, welcome to the forums

You should use a type-s ECU to allow for the higher redline

I have that PCM but because of the 4AT verses the 5AT, i decided not to try to use it.
