Tuning

I have yet to see a post about tuning a TL-S. Can it be done?

ck the performance thread area
all you can do is some simple mods-intake change-headers--
there is no chip that makes 50 hp or anything like that
seafoam it- install fresh NGK Iridium IX plugs and run name brand 91 or 03 octane
thats about it

x2, but the fic is geneally consided the better option though, still not as good as a full-standalone ECU though (or even a reflash), but that's all we really got though

in essence, but you can't exactly just buy a tune though, universial tunes are not the best, after hooked up you should tune it then and take it slowly as not to blow the engine (you also gotta work in sync with the factory ecu, otherwise it will just detune it in a couple of days)

where exactly- for what purpose- are you wanting more power
dragstrip- 1/4- 1/8th mile, auto-x local champ, or mental case on the public roads?
We can give some engine and suspension-brakes ideas to best suit your needs

there is the option of a different motor and 6speed manual trans with different intake you can do--all depends on your budget
I can make a boxcar fly with enough HP or a brick go fast with lesser funding <g>

dont forget our weak trans in the process!!! more power = less trans abilty to deal with it

I still think startin with clean internals and fresh plugs is the way to go on power
You may have way more than you think- lube throttle cables and find out!

but yeah tuning will not do too much on otherwise a stock motor, you gotta start looking at stroker motors or FI, or spraying
