Trying to replace brake bulb

But how on earth do you get the cargo net knobs off? I tried twisting and pulling and it wouldn't move.

you only remove the net retainer knob at the top corner where the plastic panel meets the carpeted cover for the lights
Also have to twist the black plastic screws on the plastic flat panel-you will see
Then pull the cardboard piece loose where the knob was- that your access
a little prying may be required
You must remove the cargo net from most mounts and raise the spare tire cover
there is a hook to put in the trunk lid- holds it up for you
reach in and figure out which bulb you need, give it a 1/4 twist leftand pull out
very little room to work without breaking the cover panel-caution
requires special bulbs 6 bucks for 2 pack- total for tail/brakes 4 bulbs
If you do 1 now- the other side will go soon then a while later the next one and..
Just buy 4 and replace all- they have the same amount of useage and will fail at bad times
Having every light on the car working lessens police interest
Can you tell who did this an hour ago!

I feel stupid... Right after I wrote this I broke out the piliers and it twisted right off. No more annoying brake lamp indicator!

Yeah well I didn't mention the second moment I had. I didn't push the bulb in all the way and the indicator came on. I was like WTF! And then I was like Di Di Dee!

My failure to give full advice there- sorry

Add to my instructions-

After pushing new bulb FULLY into holder, have assistant push brake pedal
and turn on parking lights. Careful- bulb gets hot fast in fingers- dont touch
If you have no friends...
Hit the lock release on the remote so the tailights flash- then at least you know
the bulb is active.
Insert bulb in hole, 1/4 turn right to lock- replace covers
Re-Test
Remove hook- lower tire cover
Replace cargo net
Done
