So -- when u open ur trunk does ur light ALWAYS INSTANTLY come on or is there some catch?
Cuz it seems like mine works randomly -- tonight I exited the car, locked the doors....... popped the trunk via the remote -- opened it no light.... closed it ---- opened it again -- still no ... hit unlock ---- no then it came on. ???

 

I've never noticed the trunk light not come on at all each time i've opened the trunk at nite. No on off thing here.

 

The trunk light should always come on when your trunk lid is open. The switch is built into the trunk lid latch. Try pushing in the plastic latch and you'll see your light extinguish. Release the latch and the light should come on again. If your light is working intermittently, maybe your latch assembly needs grease or replacing. Hope that helps.
