Talking Trunk Keyhole?

I had a friend argue with me over the phone about the trunk keyhole... He was saying that it was illegal and all this stuff... I was like no way dude

I told him that we didn't have one and if we did it was so well hidden that I couldn't find the darn thing when I was looking while on the phone w/ him.

We don't have one... or do we??

Were you guys lighting one up :blaze: .... We don't have one, and make sure you don't keep your jumper cables in the trunk.... I'm sure you can guess why?

Nah, you can manually open the door with the key, flip down the rear arm rest, open the pass-through, and pull on the lever for trunk release.

Yikes...good point...

But it shouldn't be a problem anyway... You should be able to access a pull cable located near the rear seat access passthrough... That will release the trunk just fine...

I have a trunk keyhole! you have to slide the "A" and a sectret baticompartment will show. stick the key in there and hot chicks will appear.

Maybe your friend was thinking that it's illegal to have no trunk release from inside the trunk Is that even a law? I know a lot of older cars don't have that but lots of new ones do. Safety feature?

I believe so, if I remember correctly.

One time I crawled up in my trunk while we were dicking around, and my friends closed the trunk on me. The release button illuminates in the dark; you can't miss it. I just acted like I was freaking out in the dark, then popped it open and casually got out like nothing happened.

tru, why would you argue with someone on the phone about a keyhole, and how in hell could it be illegal

And to answer the dude above your thread... Why would you argue about a keyhole? I don't know... Why do people argue about anything? Probably because he thought that he was right and I was wrong or visa versa... Come on man... You know the mutha f*n deal.

It's cool though.. I thought this would be a fun/cheesy thread...

So, you know to watch out if someone posts a thread like.... Remove the emergency trunk release mod. What !
