Unhappy Trunk button malfunction

Hey guys recently I noticed that my trunk would not open when I pushed the door sill button. but when I took the key out of the ingintion the button from the fob still opened (thankfully) the trunk.

Any thoughts as to why?

I dont think its a burnt out fuse B/c the trunk still opens with the fob. I might take the door panels off and look at the wiring soon.

Theres also a release in the glove box. take off the panel and look to see if somethings wrong could just be a loose bolt or something.

Ya for a while I thought mine was broken when I first bought the car, then I discovered the switch in the glove box. I guess that would be for valets so you can lock the glove box and without the keyfob they would have no way of opening the trunk. (I used to be a valet and we're shady characters I guess.)

There is a lock switch in the glove box. Make sure that is on.
