Took 2 pics for reference on location. Located on the engine down by the oil fill cap, etc. The threaded hole.

What goes there? Took the engine cover off just to visually inspect all the components I could see. Checking for loose connections, broken pieces, etc, just in case. Curiosity.

And then I saw that empty threaded hole. What is that? What belongs there? Is it necessary? I wouldn't think it'd be fine for a bolt to be missing...

with my friends old school muscle cars; we use the empty threaded holes as a lift point to hoist the engine out with a chain
