you need to do the 3 times trans drain- drive 5 minutes using each gear including park-r and N-drain 3 qts (all it will give up at a time)-refill- drive 5 using each gear
Get the old fluid out- then the car has to be driven 15 minutes cruising on freeway- pull off the freeway - stop engine in Park- check trans fliud level and adjust
The fluid gets higher mark when warm- must be perfect to work
If that doesnt fix it- warranty

You cant filter the fluid. Are you sure its full when warm? If your having issues and the trans fluid is to the full mark it sounds like the trans isnt good.
Oh and 200 on fluid?? Like Rajca said it should be about 65 for 12 quarts. (which is 3-4 drain fills) How many quarts did you put in it to begin with?

i test drove it yesterday n after driving it for a bit, notice that when i was around 50-45 mph, n when i let go the gas n just let it roll, it seems like it ur tapping the brakes and the check egine light came on wit some times the tcs light on too. i called the auto place where i got the trans from n they asked to c if i took it in to a auto shop to have it reset the mojo chip. has any one went through with this befor.

Sounds like they sold you a 97-99 3.0CL trans. Those don't have a steering sensor mounted on it like your 99 does....
You can flush out your 99 trans like this....... remove one of the hoses off the trans, I forget which one it was. To figure out, remove one hose and point it into a bucket- rather large bucket. Have someone pour A/T fluid into the trans with the engine running.... It makes a mess, but it flushes out EVERYTHING out of the trans. You trans will push out all the dirty stuff out itself via trans cooler lines....
Just doing a drain/fill takes 3QTs

i went back this morning to the auto shop where i got the trans at n they pulled out paper saying that the trans i bought from came out from a 99 tl. but at the same time the owner asked me a stupid quetion "r u sure ur car is a 99"? stupid ass, i know wat i have! but i told them that mine have a sensor n theres dont. they called out there so call micanic out n he said it was a seed sensor, i said if it was the speed sensor, y is my speed sensor still work as it dont effect my speed odo. he said it needs to be professional dont n that he needs a letter from that pro mecanich saing that the trans is no good, which i had my auncle(pro mecanich) look at it to see if there wasany code n it gave him a code but the code was, not enought info. so whats the next thing i should do.

99-01 TLs all use this steering speed sensor. Its for your speed sensitive power steering.
If there is a large silver round thing ontop of the trans with 2 hoses coming off it.... they sold you a 00-03 Trans from either a TL or CL. None of the CLs had these sensors your car needs (Speed sensitive power steering assist). Some had a cover that unbolted over the hole where this sensor goes, and some didn't have a hole in there period.
Your speedo works off a completely different sensor.

I think he's saying he took it to the junk yard to verify that he got the right trans.
They said it came from a 99 TL and it was a speed sensor that was missing.
I think they are saying that he needs to take it to a mechanic and have them write up an invoice stating that the new trans he just got doesn't work in order for him to return it.
I think he should just get the missing speed sensor off the old trans and put it on the new one and call it a day.

I think what he's really saying is "dammit, I should have just bit the bullet, paid another $1000 and had a rebuilt unit installed by a reputable shop with a full parts and labor warranty. Now I have to deal with this bullshyt and spend additional time and money trying to either get the correct parts for this used junk yard trans that nobody really knows works or not, or deal with getting another used junk yard trans from the salvage yard of which I still will not know if it works or not!". That's what he really said.
