So I've got a 1999 TL with the 4 speed automatic and I'm told my tranny has the death code P0740. If that is the case would you recommend an Acura Specialist verify this or Transmission Specialist (AAMCO)?

 

Its probably the most common problem on this entire forum, I wouldn't spend another penny verifying it, just replace and move on. If you wanna take a chance, do a drain and fill and see where it gets you but if it hasn't gone out yet, it will.
