I took a test drive in a new Type S and was very surprised that nothing happened when I floored the accelerator while testing the passing performance from about 60 mph - no downshift, no great acceleration. Very disappointing. When I returned home, I read a review of the TL which maintained that the tester had experienced the same problem with the transmission.

Question: Why hasn't Acura fixed this?
