I hope that im just being paranoid, but lately my car seems to have problems shifting from first to second gear. When shifting, the RPM's jump significantly before shifting( it almost feels like im driving a stick). And today, i hear a very loud noise when the tranny downshifted( i dont know what gear i was in at the time)
Ill post my VIN as soon as possible, but i do know that my car was made in march of 2001. Again, i hope that im just being paranoid, but who knows. Ill keep u guys posted, and if/when it goes, ill add my vin to the dreaded tranny failure list.

Sorry to hear the bad news. I would get into your dealer ASAP, it can't hurt. With all the bad news surrounding the tranny issue I don't think ur being too paranoid. You may want to reference to this site when discussing it with your service dept. if they try to get away with the 'flush-it and it will be fine' line
