when traveling at highway speed (65mph+) and I accelerate and downshift from 5th to 4th gear my auto transmission "slips" into gear. I also notice the slippage when downshifting from 4th to 3rd. Is this a sign that the trans is going? I drive a 00 with 76000 miles.

 

slippage is the biggest indicator of failure. the biggest sign is the 2nd to 3rd gear change while accelerating. when it shifts its like a slipping clutch
