Trans Filter

Hi,

I have an 00 TL that has a transmission leak on the top of the transmission. Thoiboi advised me to check the transmission filter, since it is leaking in that general area. When I cheeked, I found that the end of the filter is kind of deteriorated, so I plan to change that out. I also suspect that the solenoid right below that filter is leaking as well. I found a new gasket online for $6.00, so I plan to just go ahead and change it. My question is 1, does anyone know the size of the bolts (6) that hold on the solenoid? The bolts look like some of them might need to be replaced. 2, when I put the new gasket on; should I put high temp rtv on the gasket, or just dry? 3, is it common for the solenoid to leak? Thanks

Randy
