Tranny upgrade?
here is my problem...I just got 3rd tranny and not confident its not gonna happen again...sell car and take a loss?? or what about the peeps that have upgraded there tranny? Is it a viable option to remedy the problem once and for all the next time it happens? I have 52K on car and its worth some money right now with 48k left on warranty. Or keep car, pay it off and if it breaks again and upgrade the tranny?
basically lose mad cash if trade in and cut losses now. or keep it and maybe end up paying for a tranny?
Who has upgraded and what was cost and how do you like it?
Thanks
JG

Three Wheelin'
I think Fastyms had an upgrade done but I dont know what company makes the more durable 3rd gear clutch assembly that was put in. Honestly I would sell the car if I were you. I am in the same situation you are. I had my 3rd tranny put in 3 weeks ago. The only difference is my '02 has 89k miles on it so its not worth nearly as much as your low mileage car. Acura definitely has no permanent fix for the problem and its bound to happen again.
I wouldnt trade it in, but sell it privately. You will make at least 2-3k more on a private sale than a trade in, even after you factor in the lower sales tax you'll pay by going the trade-in route.

yeah, I found that post of him talkin about it and some others with prices but i didnt find alot more on it....this sucks cuz I like the car. I'm having trouble deciding on another sedan with performance in same price range.
