hey guys just wondering if anyone has had their tranny replaced from a NON Acura/Honda related shop. when i bought mines back in july the previous owner just had the it replaced but by AAMCO. i have a 1 yr warranty but i was thinking how reliable should i expect my tranny to be? would it be just as good as if it were replaced by Acura?

You should be fine
As far as anyone can determine- the private shops buy the same parts to do the rebuild.
The only differance would be that post 2/05 replacements from Acura are in the newer design case with improved oil passages.
You can be safe by changing the trans fluid every 15 thousand miles, it should outlast you then

AAMCO's cool... Although they're pricey, they're pretty decent when it comes to service. I've met some of the nicest dudes when it came for me looking around for a tranny back last summer.
