Tranny Recall and Mods
When you take your car in for your new transmission, have any of you ever nulled your warranty (resulting in no tranny replacement) for adding performance upgrades to your car -- headers, exhaust, pulleys, etc.?

it has been talked about a lot - they really cant do anything because these transmissions have failed under all sorts of conditions (grandma driving to mod freak)

Its illegal for them not to cover it. unless they can prove that teh mods to the car are what caused the failure

better cover it
my previous car for a 93 accord, when i finally got rid of it, it had a little over 300000 miles 
but it never gave me any tranny problem. I'll raise hell if acura don't cover this car with mods. And i plan to do quite a bit.
oh and for those that that wonder y the miles was so high, i buy a car to drive it and drive it i will .

let me say this, no mod you do short of a supercharger or turbo or nos will equal any major strain on any componet to your engine or tranny. i mean, what, your gonna make an extra 25hp max with all that stuff, my ROUSH has a stock GT tranny and the stock GT is around 230hp 270tq at the wheels, i am pushing over 375hp and 380tq to the wheels, thats an extra 145hp and 105tq on the stock block, stock tranny. What i am trying to say is that they build in a large factor for vaiance to add strength and durability. unfortunatly, these trannies just plan suck ass, and acura/honda know it.

Yes, unless they can prove for afact that the mod/mods you put on the car are what caused it to die they cant not warranty it. Its a known issue that mods or not, granny driving or 16 year old lead foot is driving the tranny can fail. so proving any thing is going to be impossible
