im getting alittle nervous about all the tranny talk..
my gas pedal had a very slight vibration at times not always.
it does it at different speeds and when accelerating slowly..
is this a start of a tranny problem??

This is not the tranny, please go have your rotors resurfaced. This will fix that break problems.

What are the symptoms of a failing tranny? People are saying that there's slippage between gears. How can you tell? Can you tell by the rpms jumping when you're hardly accelerating?

 

Yup!

 

But your rpm will also increase if your torque converter unlocks as well.

Let's say you are in 5th gear on the highway going 70 at 2000 rpm. You give it a little gas and the rpms will increase. This is just normal for any auto.

 

The very first sign, although I didn't know it at the time, of my tranny going out was just that. A slight vibration coming from the car.

 

mine used to produce slight vibration when accelerating past 80mph. It was like very-very faint grab-grab-grab-grab...

MY tranny eventually broke.
