Tranny HELP!!
I have a 2002 TLS, I was driving home from class and my tranny was acting all funny. It would downshift and the traction control light would flash. Somehow I managed to get it to my apt complex, and now when I went to take it around the parking lot its acting normal again?? Does this make sense? should I take it to the dealer or what? suggestions......PLEASE

Mine acted weird, then normal. I chalked it up to a hallucination. Then, again in a few days it acted up, then it was OK. But then, BOOM! Christmas tree light time.
Get it in now, they will replace it without question.

mine is starting to do the same thing. i was entering the freeway and i was using ss. when i tried to shift to 4th the light that indicates what gear i'm in started to flash with the number 4 and then went back to 3. i kept trying to shift but it did the same thing over and over again. i had to drive in 3rd gear all the way home. luckily, my house was just the next exit down. just this week, everytime i shift to 3rd gear it takes longer than usual for the gears to engage or shift. i was going up my hill and i started to smell something really funny, smelled like burnt clutch if you ask me.

well my car is at the dealer, if the tranny doesn't act up on them......are they still going to change it?? Its going to piss me off if they say its ok, and then when I get it back within a few weeks it dies on me!

A good dealer will know that your tranny is dead/dying.
If the fluid is dark, they might flush it, and give it back, BUT IT WILL DIE, so a good dealer will just flush it, and then report it back to acura as a defective transmission.
DO not settle for a flushed tranny, its just a matter of time, and increased risk to you.
